    SRL for a GT ultralight

What are you folks using for a structural ridge line length for the Grand Trunk UL? I want to rig one up for a grab and go for no bug conditions.

I like dyna glide. Strong and light. Could be used as an extender if needed.

Just got an Amsteel adjustable SRL from whopie slings....it is a thing of beauty, simplicity and functionality. At $12 and delivered practically overnight...it is the way to go. Going to order them for all my hammocks.

This was my next question also.. Glad it was answered. Until I were able to get a dynaglide or amsteel ridgeline can they be made with general cordage? 550 or guyline? I can't seem to find any stickied topics concerning ridgelines.

I used braided mason line on my GTUL, and it works great. I made it into an adjustable whoopie sling RL. 91" is a sweet hang! Make sure that you can still bend the RL almost 90*, when laying in the hammock, or it will be too tight.

Could someone please post some pix of the SRL w/ whoopies? How are they hooked to the whoopies?

Thank you. How about the other end?
Im not sure if all SRL are adjustable but the one I have looks like a long whoopie. The adjustable end keeps sliding over the hammock.

I'm afraid I don't have a photo of that end.

You could do it the same way or run the whoopie through the adjustable portion of the ridgeline before larksheading the end of the whoopie.

That would keep the ridgeline from sliding up the whoopie, but would still allow adjustment.

I dont use one on any of my GT's but I might add a dynaglide one on one of my GTUL.... I just don't see the need to use them on the Single or the Double....
