    Hanger-in-waiting

So I just bought my first sling, one of HH's netless, tarpless Safari DX Classics from their Odds & Ends sale. Should arrive in a week.

I made a hammock inquiry on Canadian Canoe Routes on which I crossed paths with first poster DistortedAxis who not only referred me here and welcomed me to test out his rigs (We're both in the Toronto area), but invited me to a local hang (and offered up a loan of one of his tarps.)

Kudos to an outstanding embassador of the hammock.

And now my journey begins ...

    Welcome Str8dog.

Here is the local hang that DistoredAxis is referring to.

Check out the thread, vote on a date and hopefully you'll have your hammock in time. I trust your have a close cell foam pad/thermarest and a sleeping bag for insulation?

    Cheers

    Brian

    Tx for the welcome.

Yep, DA supplied the link. Checking the calendar and will have to clear with Mrs. str8dog.

Problem is, I'll need my own site, I'm getting into hammies to put some space between me and my regular canoeing campmates to give them a break from my snoring. (I still snore sleeping on my belly). lol
