I just had to stop in the middle of making another hammock and sing the praises of Scott's "crinkle fabric." It is 70 denier, which would make it approx. 1.9oz/sy, although I didn't weigh it. The attractive thing is that it sparkles even though it's black. And, it has a "brushed" feel to it making me want to hold it against my face.

I have never used anything heavier than 1.1 oz/sy nylon and WOW! What a difference! This is sooooooo easy to work with by comparison! Of course, I just finished a quilt made of 7x10 denier fabric at the other end of the spectrum.

Anyway, if you want a beautiful looking and wonderful feeling and piece of cake to work with fabric (and don't mind a bit of extra weight), do yourself a favor and get this. I hope Scott can stock this regularly!
