I just recieved a new scout catalog last night. BSA is now offering ENO Single Nest hammocks and another brand (can't remember off the top of my head). The ENO is priced at $47.99. Maybe, just maybe, full acceptance is just around the corner!

that reminds me... i hope we can continue to think & work toward a more user friendly site, complete w/ all the basic hammock introduction & instruction videos that we've talked about.
i believe this is by far the most complete collection of hammock information on earth & a great community, but i'm also sure it's got to be over whelming to at least part of the new comers... wondering where to start.
maybe we need to start another thread & of course link the thread(s) talking about the videos tutorials that HC4U & others have talked about.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
I just saw the new catalog today. The other hammock is a Lawson. I wonder why they decided on it instead of maybe Hennessy?

Saw that today too, Not familiar with the Lawson, according to the posts here under that mfg I am not alone. but hey if it gets em camping and they stay in Scouts, more power
Maybe they picked it for its ground bivy capability?

I had a whole patrol decide to make speer hammocks last weekend. We are camping this weekend and they are all adament about sleeping in the trees. I have had a few hanging with me for the last couple of years, but it's nice to see a whole patrol make the leap of faith.
I have about 1500 yds. of wally world ripstop, so there is no reason to stop now. All of B.S.A. will be in hammocks by the end of summer.

Does anyone have pics of the HH support setup from the 2005 Jamboree?
I'm back home from helping take care of my father-in-law last night and today and have been sitting here checking HF. So your question comes up and I decide to go try to find my 2005 Jamboree pictures on my other computer. I did take one picture of the Hennessy Hammock display in the OA area. This is the best I've got.
