Headed up to Zion Oct. 7-10th with my backpacking club and checked Kolob Arch off my list of trips. The leaves were just changing and the weather was perfect! It is said to be a strenuous hike, but I would say it's more moderate. 13.8 miles and 1750' elevation gain.

We stayed at site #11, which is a group site that you can reserve at the Zion Backcountry Office. There is plenty of space at this site for hammockers and ground dwellers alike.
