    Kolob Fingers/Arch

Headed up to Zion Oct. 7-10th with my backpacking club and checked Kolob Arch off my list of trips. The leaves were just changing and the weather was perfect! It is said to be a strenuous hike, but I would say it's more moderate. 13.8 miles and 1750' elevation gain.

If you are wondering about the availability of trees at the campsites along La Verkin Creek... your answer is there are plenty Almost every site that I passed by had several hanging options. We stayed at site #11, which is a group site that you can reserve at the Zion Backcountry Office. There is plenty of space at this site for hammockers and ground dwellers alike. Here are a few pics...

That are some really nice spots! We need some warmer weather out this way for longer.

I love Zions. We'd drive trough there to get to my brothers cabin. The Lil. Pondarosa.
