    Thats pretty nifty....

Got me thinking... You can eliminate the whoopiesling altogether. Just have a loop coming off your hammock, adjust the buckle on your webbing and put the loop over the buckle. Yeah it would effect the simplicity of ajustability, but it also eliminates a piece of the suspension.

It is aluminum. I could make them a little lighter but I thought 8 grams is a good starting point.

I do plan on doing this and you can get it now by emailing me. It is just a struggle to get to the point they are on the site.

Oh I didn't think you were complaining, I had plans on getting you a new set. You will really like the shockcord webbing retension. Although I saw you are good at getting out tangles.
Now that I have seen the video on how to use them I will be be giving them a try the next time I set up one of my hammocks (waiting for the skeeter population to die down as they are real bad right now, even my Labs do not want to go outside.

You could do that but I would still use the whoopies. They are adjustable to the point of fitting around the tree but I like the whoopies for fine tuning my sag.

    I ordered a set!

Last night I had a suspension failure when my whoopie slipped off my marlin spike hitch! I wasn't in my hammock yet. But if I hadn't been showing my rig to friends when it happened it could have fallen with me in it!!

BTW...I'm really digging my new continuous ridge line package I won at the Grayson Highlands Hang.

    Thanks Dutch!

    Just bought a set.

Man, too bad I didn't know about these before today. They would have been fun to show off at the Northern Hang. Another cool invention there sir. Thanks a lot!

I won a set of the original design Dutch Buckles in the raffle at the SC Fall Sprawl (aka Roll Call for SC Hangers). These things ard incredibly cool -- and the redesign with the bungee-cord retainer is genius heaped on genius! Thanks, Dutch, and way to go!
