Is gear from HammockGear.com too costly?

Gear from HammockGear.com is costly to say the least, but not for hangers in the USA.

On my HammockGear order number 903 comprising of one 40*F Incubator and one 40*F Burrow in 7 Denier I payed 498$ to the vendor and 241$ in tax to get it into Denmark.

Still at that price I find the products to be worth every cent I had to pay.
Thanks Stormcrow and spouse for some truely great products crafted by real maestros.

The system works as expected. Can't blame the seller for import taxes.
I don't know about your exchange rate against USD, but Im enjoying it. Just take tax into consideration when buying and enjoy when the package slips through customs unnoticed

    Hi BlazeAway,
You could almost buy a plane ticket for that import tax and come hike with us using your new gear.
Something to think about when you place your next big order.
I have a guest room if you ever plan a big order from WB in Colorado.

Oh wow! That's insane. (Hose taxes are rediculous. But, $s98 sounds good for a burrow in 7D and an incuabator.

I did not pay any import duties on my order from hammockgear.com or from any of the other cottage suppliers from the US.

I was also lucky that our Australian dollar at the time was worth more than the US dollar, and to top that, i picked my Burrow at a discounted 20% off RRP.

    Bargain.

    Unfortunately yes.

It stopped me from spending even more money on gear though ;-)

Welcome to the most tax plagued nation in the world...... Denmark! Everything is expensive here + everything you earn is taxed at least 40%(and everything you sell is taxed 25%).

That´s why it's so expensive to be a member on HF(), the knowledge and friendship is priceless, but the gear you start to want(and need!)...... it comes with a big hefty price tag once it crosses our borderline!(sigh.....)
