Well, my mom, after seeing several of my quilt projects has decided that she would like a couple of quilts for her and my dad for the house. I'm not sure about making them out of ripstop nylon, would anyone have a recommendation for alternate material, how about taffeta, or a cotton.... Just looking for a little direction here as everything I've made so far is with ripstop nylon....Thanks
Tell here "I can't work under these conditions" and storm out. Well, that's what I would do. After learning how to make nice long cuts in ripstop nylon with a soldering iron, I'm not sure I can work with real fabric ever again.
However, the nice folks at your local fabric store will probably have some very good ideas on low-stretch cotton that would work well for non-camping quilt (perish the thought!)
Fleece?? I dont think you even have to finish the edges if you dont want.
