Hi guys and gals,
pretty new to this hanging stuff but I am loving every minute of it.
I started hanging about three weeks ago and I say, its a most pleasurable way of camping.
I have always been camping in a tent with a blue foam mattress, and as a lot of you may know, its not all that comfy.
I stumbled across a site-or something-about hammocking when looking at light weight gear and was converted.
I went to spotlight (our craft and sewing store here in Oz) and bought some ripstop nylon and from that and a little help (well lots) from Jeff's website (to the woods.com) I was able to come up with a cool lil hammock.
I've only been camping in it once and it poured down rain, but I stayed dry, even though I only had a tiny piece of plastic from a mattress cover for a fly.
I have slept in it in the back yard for 4 nights until the possums got a bit friendly and started attacking me! (not quite) LOL.
Anyway, as you can see, I can ramble a lot...
