Noticed this got a bunch of looks....figured it'd stick it up again
Here is my DIY tarp tent. I originally made it for my GF and I so we could get on the trail together. After showing her my hammock, she has become less skeptical and agreed to get above ground.
It is made out of the following
No see um front/back/sides.
3.4oz heavy duty dwr ripstop
I can tell you that it is not perfect, but it is functional.
I will trade for LARGE tarps, female specific internal frame packs, external frame packs (small sized, or possibly other hammock stuff. Otherwise, I'm asking $150.
It has a drop cloth made out of ~2.3oz ripstop for the floor.
It is modeled off the Henry Shires tarp tent on thruhiker.com
The ridge line is seam sealed. I spilled a bit on the side as well so there is a stain. Oops!
