does it matter if your hammock is centered between the two trees that you're hanging it from? i do have the foot end higher so i don't slide down.

No that should not matter if you look at some of the pic's people of posted here and on the other forum you might see how they are putting tarp out. I took something off of jeff's site and made some guyline tentioners for mine and it really helps on those windy days and im not sure but I think I have them in my gallery if not let me know and I will get you pictures of them.

All they are is a piece of sling shot hose and tie them at each end about 5 inch's apart that way they kinda spring back into place with out all those stress on the tarp.
