I got 2 as well. One for introducing my kid brother to camping and another for one of his buddies he may want to bring along.

Your not grooming your own Sherpas are you?
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

Love the GT UL! This is the hammock that got me hangin.

Just never slept good in the tent. Went to the outfitter to look at more sleep pads and saw the low price on the UL so gave it a try and have not set up the tent again!

I've moved on to the GT Nano to save weight/bulk in my pack but still string up the UL for a quick nap at home.

Seems everyone has good luck with these! My only worry is that the material is not as tough as other hammocks. Has anyone had any problems? Being a 135lb guy I am nowhere near the limit so I don't imagine anything would happen, just curious since some of you seem to be long time UL hangers

    uh...maybe....

Trying to get them before they hit the beer stage, coz Cheetos, koolaid mix and twix bars are cheaper as bribes.

Are these wide and long enough for a comfortable overnight hang, or just for a snooze in the backyard? I'm 6ft and 163lb.

I seen the UL's on amazon for 12-21 so I could not pass them up. I was only going to order the forest green one but it was free shipping if my order was 25 or more so I added the blue one to the order. It brought the total to 28 and some change shipped but that is not bad for two hammocks... I am going to put one in each car to have one when I travel.

I'm 5'10" and have spent over a dozen nights in mine. My only complaint is a slight pressure on my knees that I can't seem to fix without extra equipment (tried different ridgeline lengths, foot end higher than head end, different positions in the hammock). A pillow/article of clothing under my knees or if it's cool enough to use a pad (2/3 UQ) solves this problem. Very comfortable. I have two GT UL hammocks!
