    CCF Pad and Super Shelter

I read somewhere that a guy recommended using a CCF pad in the Super Shelter and not in the hammock. He said he placed the CCF pad over the vapor barrier which was on top of the Hennessy pad. I never thought of this arrangement. I know this is a free country and we can do as we wish, but have I missed something or is this not the best way to use a CCF pad?

Even though ccf pads don't hold water, this set up may cause excess condensation issues. Would have to try this out to be sure. Never heard of someone using a ccf and ocf pad in the ss before?

The CCF pad is it's own vapor barrier. I wonder about the stiffness of the CCF pad. I'm not saying it won't work but if I tried it and had a problem I'd move the ccf pad either below the OCF pad or into the hammock.

Some of the pads are a lot more flexible than others. Seems like TeeDee did something like this back in the day. Seems like he had some really flexible pad in a "T" formation on top of the HH OCF pad or maybe on top of the space blanket? Whatever, it worked real well for him.

HH recommends against the use of CCF pads in the SS. Their weight might cause a gap, whether on the HH pad or in the under cover. Still, I have played with it some and it seemed promising with a short piece of pad that was not wide or heavy enough to cause obvious problems. But it was not a flexible piece, just a short piece of WM blue. But I have not really put it to the test.
