Is it me, or does it seem like there's a lot of unnecessary net under the hammock? I've been wondering that ever since seeing fronkey's video where he doesn't mention cutting anything off the width of the fabric, but it doesn't seem like the full width is there.

Hmmm... I guess I did miss something in that tutorial.
Sorry about that, the netting I use is 54" wide. Syb is absolutely correct about why to leave the extra fabric on the bottom. When you get in the hammock, it will go down, plus you have to consider the UQ and the fact that the fabric spreads out too once a person is in it. My mistake, I should of covered that.

I made one of these out of the black tullee this past weekend,,, I love it,,,, now I have an olive green Fronkey Bug Net and a black Fronkey Bug Net

Syb, when I sew my cord channels, I do it with the cord in the channel. Much easier that way and I can use the cord wrapped fabric as a stop on one side of my pressure foot to help keep the seams straight.

I think I just had a V8! That occurred to me but then with my textile impaling skills I probably would have sewn the shock cord to the mesh.

The absolute coolest and easiest to make bugnet I have found on this forum. This one is made from some tulle I got on sale at Joann's for $1.19 a yard. I added 4" loop of grosgrain at each suspension opening for some stability. Also made a stuff sack for hammock and net. When I don't want the net on, I just undo one end and stuff the net in the sack at the other end.Sorry for the photo from my messy shed, but from the rain, my back yard was a little soggy. Fronkey, you da man!
