    What extras do I need?

Okay guys help me save myself from myself. I am looking at picking up a JRB 8x8 tarp here is the product description:

"Description: The ideal backpacking hammock tarp for small and regular size hammocks. Made out of silicon impregnated 1.1 oz. ripstop nylon cordura® with ten tie-out/lift tabs. This tarp with its diagonal ridgeline seam was originally designed for hammock use and requires only two stakes. The 10 foot diagonal ridgeline provides excellent coverage, including full side wind protection, for hammocks up to 9 feet long. It readily facilitates ground use for those seeking more width than traditional 5'x8' tarps or ponchos. The tarp finished size is 7' 2" x 7' 2". It weighs 9.4 ounces and packs to 5"x5"x2".

Okay do I still need to get a cord for the ridgeline or is it included? I know I need some tie outs how many should I get?

If you were buying this tarp what other extras would you pick up?

I don't know if they come with guy lines. The Jacks could answer that if they weren't on a hike.

If it were me, I would pick up some of the self tensioning guy lines or better yet, make your own.

Don't forget to get seam sealer from the Jacks.

Doesn't come with anything but the tarp. Seam sealer can be made from clear pure silicone caulk available at home center and coleman fuel...approximately 50/50 mix. I did see a thread about a permatex caulk product http://tinyurl.com/448cw4 that was thin enough as is. The self tensioning lines are indeed easy to make as in the HC4U suggested link. Jeffs website also has a "how to" on making the JRB style STL.
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.
Time heals all wounds...but it usually leaves a pretty big scar.
