Yes I found a few sites selling stove jack kits to sew in. That stove site is TitaniumGoat.com. Type 'TiGoat' in youtube and several videos will come up.

Incidently, I made my own portable cylinder stove modeled on TiGoat's new, two foot long version. It holds a lot of wood, and puts out a lot of heat. I plan to use it in the Smokehouse.
I'm curious as to how you made your stovepipe connection to the stove. Did you go in the back or on the top??. Also how is it for boiling water??. i'm assuming it sits horizontal which makes a kettle on top less than perfect ,,or so it seems to me.

Yes me too! So I'll ask if maybe you'll start another thread about your stove and I'll stop trying to hijack this one.

When I saw the smokehouse pix I thought:

That really IS a hammock tent.

Still waiting for someone to come up with something like Lawsons hammock/tent...(I googled it to have a link. That Texsport for $36 ain't bad...doesn't look as if you could get a good diagonal lay, but for the budget conscious....)

ooops... if I've hijacked the thread, mod can delete or put in a new thread.

Check out seekoutsidegear.com. They made and show specs of their stove. If you type 'lightweight packable titanium wood stove' on youtube by seekoutsidegear they show a demo of her putting it together.

About the cylinder stove, I don't know about his homemade one, but TiGoat's come with two titanium rods that run down either side of the top to create a flat cooking surface. And putting the pipe on the top is always best so you won't have to carry an elbow.

I'll start a separate post on how I made my stove and try to put up some pictures. Look under the Homemade Gear forum.

    The correct URL is http://seekoutside.com/
