There is no need to get a Parks Pass/adventure pass. I believe that the land is administrated by BLM and is exempt for this rule.

Jose, you're going to be there Friday Night? How long a drive from Seattle? What's the best route over to there?

I will be there Friday night. The best way over from Seattle is highway 90 to the second Ellensburg exit, then instead of going north toward Ellensburg proper, head south into what is called Cayon Road. From Seattle, ellensburg is 1.5 to 2 hours, then about 20 minutes down the road from the exit and on the right, you'll see a suspension bridge across the Yakima river, make the upcoming right hand turn into the parking lot and you're there!

    Look foreword to meeting you!

I'm planning another big stew for Saturday night. I love an excuse to cook for folks, and trail stew's always fun!

Watch the video at the begining of this thread to get some referance, but I think you won't have any trouble finding us. From the trail head (the bridge) it's a 2-3 minute walk to the hang site. Stay in the valley and don't wander off into the hills. If your going up, stop and turn back to the main trail that follows the creek.

Since last week there was no snow to speak of. I'll be posting a vid of a recent visit here pretty soon. Keep an eye on the Ellensburg weather wich is pretty close to what we'll be dealing with.

As much as I want to come to this and need to just get away. It now looks like I might not make it out. My father has been fighting cancer for more than a year now. Unfortunately he is losing that battle and time is very very short..

Sorry to hear about your father.

Though you will be missed, and your and Cane's ongoing discussion with gravity would be a great source of fun, we will understand your abscence!

Our prayers, hopes and well wishes will be with you. If there is anything we can do to support you from our end. Please let us know!
