    DIY Hammock

Finally got around to making a hammock, following Knotty's instructions. My GTUL was nice, but as a tall guy, it was just a bit too narrow for me to be comfortable. I made it with 1.5 ripstop from BWDD. The length is 11' 3", and the width is right around 60" (huge and comfortable!). Weight is 13.3 oz with whoopies and a ridgeline.

Now I just have to test it out overnight along with my new BlackRock hat. Based on preliminary results, I hypothesize that I will have both a great nights sleep and a cooked noggin
