Ohhhhhhhhhh.... So that's how you put on an under quilt. Man, those S biners are incredibly complex to use.
Stay gangsta dude! Enjoyed the hell out of that video.

    Thanks for the video, Raul.

I'd wondered how the Yeti's draft tubes worked, and I'd been hoping for a close-up at the Florida hang. You just cut three months off my wait time for that!

Thanks for simply addressing how stuff works rather than anything else, as well. That's probably the best way to go about ensuring that folks know what's up with hammocking.

Also, showing the limits and drawbacks of gear is something that is rarely seen on teh intrawebs, since everyone wants to believe that they spent their money well. You've been doing that with your gear reviews since I've been watching your videos, and I've yet to see you amp something up that you didn't honestly feel worked well. Many thanks for that, as well.

good work monk. re blowing spume etc and UQ's. I have an UQ similar to the one showed. (A modified Nunatuk down bag.) I was concerned about blowing moisture. I sewed a cuben (the lightest, 33/yd? ) sheet under the UQ, added less than 1 oz to the wgt. and makes it proof against blowing rain etc. since water vapor rises no condensation problems,. gnome

Yeah I saw it last night! Thought it was very cool of him. Although I wished he would have found the video based on positive feedback instead of.... well negative allegations.

But the message was received in a positive way and I look forward to him expanding his knowledge with regards to hammocking and our community.

I don't know how to post comments on Youtube, but someone might want to give Tinny the links on shugs noob hammocking series. Tons of good information about underquilts and hanging. Between Shug and Water Monkey, all questions should be answered and future unpleasantness avoided.

Pretty sure he has seen my stuff...we have been YT buds for a while now.
He says what he thinks......or thought he thinks....and often he has very valid points.
Reckon he is the kind to find his own way on a project.
I take none of it personally as a hammock guy.

    Ahhhh, the Piney Woods....

    [QUOTE=Shug;569185]
I usually go with those who "Get Out In The Piney Woods Often".
But opinions are interesting to watch and listen too.

Mr. Shug, Florida a bit hot and humid for you, but we have some special piney woods here. I haven't learnt to add pics here, but check my avt. No special effects, au natural.

Raul, thank you so much for the detailed video. Between you and Shug, It makes it very enjoyable for me and my family to learn more and quicker than trial and error alone.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
