8 miles/day give Wisenber time to fish and me time to nap! So that means really meeting to hike Friday morning....so get there or in the close area Thursday night so we can hike 8 on Fri,Sat, and Sun. Yes?
If we are doing 8ish a day I might as well bring a Tenkara too-you never know a miracle could happen.

I don't know how early I could make it on Friday as I will be working late Thursday to ensure that I can have my time off from work.
I may have to do some fast hiking to catch up...or I could just set camp in dark like I usually do.

    Medicine Man:

As you have the longest drive, would it be easier to meet there Thursday night? I can dust off the old Coleman gear and car camp (real coffee!) while we wait for the troops arrive Friday morning.

let us know what time (central or eastern time) you are planning on meeting Friday morning at the visitor center.

I sure hope you all have a good time. I am salivating a bit. Wish I was closer. I have paddled the BSF a couple of times and loved it.

I have paddled it a few times between Leatherwood Ford and Blue Heron. It makes a great overnight paddle trip. It is a different perspective seeing it from the river. This 20 mile section is one of the most remote sections of river on the East Coast.

Good point! As Bandy Creek Campground is in the Eastern Time Zone, all times posted should be considered ETZ.

I'll do my best to make this one. Been to the park several times, but not much time spent in the backcountry. It is indeed a unique area and very beautiful.
