At 6'1 and about your weight I much prefer the size of my explorer ul over another hammock that I own that is the same size as an expedition. I could make the smaller hammock work, and probably will on occasion because it is so light, but the extra foot in length and 6" in width make a huge difference to me.

I noticed the Safari's without the bugnet and fly also, at only $49 they seem like a good deal. I am new, so was wondering would they hang well without the bugnet attached? How would it affect the hammock? They say Hennesseys are great hammock, very comfortable.

I'm 5'9" and also found the Expedition too small, the Explorer allows for more sleeping positions, and the netting is farther from your face, IMO. You can also buy just the Hammock without the tarp to save money, if you have a tarp.

BajaHanger, I got one of these and I tell you The Safari's will hang just like normal. The bug net has been cut out due to a flaw in the net (they must have had a bunch of bad netting) but the ridge line is still there and it will hang the same as any other Safari. I even think if you wanted a bug net could be sewn in later.
