Where to hang in N.C.?

what city/county will you be visiting (if you don't mind my asking)? you may have some great sites very close by.
the Linville Gorge is the most noteworthy.

Along the Blue Ridge Park Way I have hung at Pisgah Mt and Liville Gorge campgrounds. Also Stone Mt and Pilot Mt State Parks are a couple other places if you are car camping.

thanks everyone for all the ideas, the plan for now is a overnighter in uwharrie then a long weekend at linville gorge....probably uwharrie next week sometime.
