    Grand Trunk Ultralight Camo Hammock

Does anyone use these hammocks? I was noticing Amazon has them for cheap and was thinking about getting 1 for each of my kids (8 and 10 year olds). Thanks.

This was my first hammock. I still use it in the house.
Mine came with whoopie slings, no carabiners. My first hang I didn't have tree straps but used some static (poly) rope I had from REI.
Also, just bought 2 spring hooks (essentially Home Depot version of carabiners)
that supported up to 800 lbs for a little over $2 a piece.
Check the couple of reviews on Amazon. I think they are noteworthy.
I think for the price, you can't go wrong.

My two sons started out with canvas DIY hammocks here in the house and switched up to Grand Trunk Ultralights about 4 months later. They still prefer the canvas ones inside but love the GT's in open air. They came with a simple "s" hook on each end with a cord that you knot every 6" or so. Makes for a very simple first setup. Packs real small and true to the name, they are extremly light but easily hold even me at 400+. If you don't want to fuss with a DIY setup, can't beat it for the price.

I just bought two of those hammocks, and had one out last night on the hammock stand I scored this weekend for $10 at a yard sale. The hammock was nice and big, and comfortable. It is light and I will put whoopies on it and it will go into my pack for hikes. I still love my Clark NA, but this is a nice light hammock great for hiking where there are no bugs. I just need a fly for the rain.

Just recently picked up the $12 forest green GTUL from Amazon and I am very pleased with my purchase! Also bought a blue one for my lovely girlfriend and she is overjoyed as well. I love my ENO DoubleNest but this one now sits up all the time in my garage for when I want to hang at home

Good hammock. The stock suspension....works, but you'll most likely want to replace, if not for ease of adjustability then definitely for the fact that it limits you to smallish trees prett close together.

My wife was reading the low rated reviews at Amazon and it sounds like several of these split open and dropped the person lying in it. Is the material that fragile that it's made of?

I have the camo one and the kids use it as a swing, And I use it to sleep in... these are great hammocks. Most recently I got 2 from Amazon for 12 bucks a piece. I am pleased.

    Got 2 & Made a Double Layer

I got 2, removed the cord and put in a continuous loop of amsteel blue 7/64th threw both of the channels. I've been sleeping in it for the past week and plan on using it for home sleeping.
