Looking to buy a full length underquilt

    Hi all,

Been out of the game for awhile.

I had a winter yeti-overstuffed i think-that i sold because my feet kept getting cold and sleeping with my pack under my legs is just not doable for me. I had used my cuben waders under my socks as a VB to keep my feet warm but that was just swaty and uncomfortable.

I am looking for the lightest full length underquilt(obviously it would have to be down in that case) that i could use for my blackbird. It would be really cool if it would also work on my custom grizzbridge bridge hammock which is actually more comfortable than the blackbird. THat would leave me the ability to take either hammock as i have not really decided which i will take with me on my 5-7 day 75 mile AT trip around november 20th.

with this new underquilt, i would be looking at around a 27-29lb total pack weight for this trip and i really would like to keep it at that or below to keep it enjoyable.

    Peace

    Ike

If you are interested in purchasing a new one. I'd contact Adam (Stormcrow) over at hammockgear.com and ask about a custom 7D (inner)/M55 (outer) shelled incubator. Just an option that's not cuben but still very light. Good luck on your search.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Can't pm you, your box is full, but I might be willing to part with my new Mt. Washington to bankroll a custom Camo quilt.

You could get a Leighlo full length underquilt in either 20F or 0F. She offers them in either 72" or 78" long. Picking the 72" long UQ it is automatically less weight due to less length and also the quilt is tapered so it is wider at the head end then the bottom. I don't have weights, but send her an email and she will get back to you. In order to ensure that you would have your quilt in time for your trip, you would have to order it soon.

    Cheers
