    @willswim - I'm not sure what another person having the two quilts could tell you that hasn't been told yet. My WL quilt should go in the mail today. I went for that one for a couple of reasons:
    x the price was better
    x WL's UQ has 14oz down fill as a standard vs HG's UQ has 12oz (both 800+, you can upgrade to 900+ with HG's, not with WL)
    x I got an extra oz + shipping => lower price than a 15oz HG's UQ with shipping
    x I ordered from WL before and was very pleased with their service

    They both look very similar. The only real differences I found are the baffles (HG has got two more), the weight (HG is a bit lighter), the length (WL is a bit longer) & the price (WL is better priced). I know more baffles should keep your down in place better, but since I get cold easily when not moving much (which tends to happen when sleeping) the extra overfill was quite welcome, meaning 15oz. This is the max amount of useful overfill, so I'm sure it'll stay into place. I also know WL stitch everything meticulously (marty told me ). Extra stitches here and there, some in places where other UQ's have none, which should make it a strong & durable UQ. Don't know about stitching policies at HG, perhaps someone here can deny/confirm additional stitching from an HG UQ. I'm sure that HG makes a fine quality quilt as well though, as opie already confirmed.

    Guess in the end, it's personal choice really. It's you who'll have to sleep in it, it's you who'll carry it around, it's you who'll want to be warm in it and hopefully use it for a very long time.

    FWIW...HG specs say..."12 oz of 900 fill power Hungarian Goose Down".

    That depends on where you're looking => http://www.hammockgear.com/cart/inde...ndex&cPath=3_7

    They say on that page that a 900+ down upgrade, which will be 5° warmer, will add the following to your bill:
    => +$20 for 40°F
    => +$35.00 for 20°F
    => +$50.00 for 0°F

    But indeed, if you click on one of those UQ's, you'll get a website like this: http://www.hammockgear.com/cart/inde...&products_id=5 - specifying that it's 900+ down.

    So to me, it's unclear if you're getting a 900+ UQ for that money, or a 800+ UQ.

    Agreed (and I stand corrected). The comparison chart lists a different loft and dimensions as well.

    However, their home page states "ALL quilts are exclusively stuffed with 900FP Goose Down." so I'm hoping that is what will be used in the quilt I ordered.

    It looks like the website needs a little cleanup.

    Adam (Stormcrow) currently uses 900FP in all of his quilts. He has not used 800FP in quite some time. So more then likely (almost positively) you will be getting 900FP.
    Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

    Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

    I apologize. We have been using 900 FP in all of our goose down products for awhile now. We kept the 800 price points, though, so there was no increase in pricing. The page was outdated. I thought I had caught all of the 800+ information and removed them. Sorry for that.

    By the way..... Black Friday is coming up???
