What's your opinion on the glue joints holding up over time from all the potential folds? Does the glue hinder its ability to be pliable?

I've read and seen a few reports on cuben tarps, but have not seen much mentioned about durability against both the elements and UV light.
Any thoughts on this?
I'm not sure I forget if the ridgeline is either taped or glued or both. Stormcrow did mine a little differently than Ironman's which added a little weight. I'd be interested when he chimes in as well.
As far as the technique holding up over time... I guess only time will tell. I'd like to hear from those who have had cuben tarps for over 2 years which was taped or glued.

Well Joe Valesko from Zpacks uses all of his cuben gear on thru hikes. And he guarantees all his gear will last at least a thru hike. So you figure 120-180 days and nights at least.
If you get out around 20 days a year... that's about 6-9 years. Will the glue or tape hold out that long... well that's definitely another thing to consider and I dont have that answer. Yet.

I like my gear to last a long time. To the point where I am carefully I don't setup in a to sunny area, because of the high UV here in Queensland. The strong UV light here can weaken nylon in no time, but if your careful where you pitch your tent or tarp, you can get a long life. My last nylon tent is over 15 years old and still going.
Was curious with Cuben material, if UV light has any effects on it, I thought I read somewhere that cuben is resistance to UV light.
Hey Raul, as another drooling ordered-and-waiting guy, I really liked the vid. Thanks. Question: what do you think about the viability of two separate ridge lines like Brandon proposes for the superfly?

I like the see-thru aspect of the cuben tarps from what I can see on the video. Probably the only opportunity I will ever get to see one in person, is if I purchase one myself.
The only, maybe slight drawback to the see-thru aspect on the material, is other hikers watching you as you change.
I'd be interested to know as well. Would like some of our resident cuben experts to chime in.
Either method is fine. I've used both. I prefer the continuous ridgeline due to the ability to adjust the tarp along the line and basically no knots to tie which, to me, makes set up faster and easier.

That intro was AWESOME! It had me laughing pretty hard dude.
I can't believe how much room is inside it too. I like how stormcrow just added on to his others and I think that would be a really easy way to help crank some out faster when more people want one.
Great job on the video and keep throwing Bumble in your vids. The kid makes an awesome water monkey side kick.
