VIDEO: The Lost Hat Expedition

I wasn't able to make it to the October Gorge Rat Gathering in Linville Gorge till the last day. But a lot of them were still there to share breakfast at Louise's Famous Rock House Restaurant which made my day!

HOWEVER ... the day got even better when IDCakes (who'd drove down for the day) and I met up with Ken and Waterbar Jim for a hike in the Jonas Ridge/Sitting Bear area to look for a hat that was snagged off of Ken's pack the previous Thursday! We found said hat and had a great four to five hours of hiking in some of the best the gorge has to offer. GREAT DAY WITH GREAT FRIENDS ... it don't get better than that!

Here is a very short video clip taken from that hike with some fantastic views. Including a view of Babel Tower that most folks NEVER see!

HEY LADY thanks for watching! The track is "Irish Thunder" ... like that one myself. On another note that mesh peak bag you're making is FANTASTIC ... used it on this last trip and I like the see through aspect of it! The stiching is holding up mighy fine ... that puppy is going to last a long time! Might have to order me another one for my wife's hammock ... yeah she's going backpacking with me!

It's off the beaten path so to speak and though I'd actually been on the points near there I hadn't even been on that spot myself in the 40 plus years I've been going there. And thanks pal ... I appreciate you're watching! Just a spur of the moment shot ... we were having such a good time I kinda forgot to take more video!
