I like the function of it really well, especially being able to deploy the hammock/UQ from either side. I've never used/made any different version of the BB sack, so I can't really compare it to anything else. I just did it this way because it seemed pretty simple to make. Again, with my sewing skills being marginal at best, I thought that if I make this no more difficult than it has to be, maybe I can get through it. It worked.

    Hey Hooch,
Great idea!!! I tried to put my hammock and Speer underquilt inside of a stuff sack at MAHHA and the sack was a bit small to contain everything. You've created a great solution. Have you thought of using any sort of compression straps to make the bag smaller to fit in your pack?

Yes, actually I did think about compression straps, but I don't have the first clue how to attach or make them. Maybe on a later version.

    Hooch - I have one question ------

What is that THING dangling from your tarp ridge line on the end of the tarp?????

It's like a turtle decided it liked the ridge line.

It's our camping mascot, Ugly Doll. He goes with my son and I on camping trips we do together.

Nice job Hooch. I have stored my trail shoes in my BB Bag to keep them off the ground and away from rain and splatter. Of course if they were already wet or muddy I wouldn't put them in the bag, but other small dry stuff would be Ok.
