MN DIYers check this place out!

My mother-in-law took me to this fabric store called SR Harris and it is amazing! they have just about everything you could want including ripstop nylon (coated and uncoated), gortex, fleece, and so so so much more! the prices marked aren't actually the prices (everything is always 50% off) they also have zippers, webbing and as I said before... so much more!

Yeh. A little overwhelming. Don't know if i ever want to go back unless i have a spevific purpose. The place is great for a high school drama club
When it seems like the night will last forever
And there's nothing left to do but count the years
When the strings of my heart start to sever
And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears
I will walk alone by the black muddy river
And dream me a dream of my own

Interesting. Not a lot of ripstop when I was there (or else it isn't in aisle 20, as the clerk said), and none of it was waterproof. The clerk says their inventory varies, so I'll check again on my next trip.

But while looking around, I wandered down the fleece aisle.

    Oh my!

Polartec 100 is $6.00/yard (after discount).
Polartec 200 is $7.50/yard (after discount).
Polartec 300 is $10.00/yard (after discount).

Nice. Had some of the polartec windblocker stuff as well, looked like it was the same price as the regular stuff.

I need to start googling patterns.

When were you there? I found some camo ripstop (old style, not the digital stuff) in aisle 20 by the other camo, and some green and blue ripstop (looked like the lighter stuff) on the wall side of aisle 20.

Also, where was the Goretex, Gorestopper, and eVent?

It was all on the back right side of the store...don't recall the isle number. I had to dig a lot to find the different fabrics....but that's part of the fun...okay not really! I wish they could organize that place a bit more!

Its mostly on the back wall near the corner...its a lot of digging and flipping of the bolts of fabric....

Hmmm, I looked through there. I saw some stuff that looked waterproof, but I rejected it since I thought it was unsuitable.

I need to learn how to ID goretex, it seems.
