I have been hanging around New Zealand, Australia and Finland

    Hello all,
I have been a hammock hanger for about 5 years now but discovered this forum about month ago.
I am actually hanging in my hammock right now while writing this

I live in my van full time and two days ago combined hammock and my van
Started to make a big modification to my sleeping arrangements. I used to have a big platform bed at window level and had a garage compartment for my recumbent trike at the back under the bed in my MB Sprinter.

As I have not ridden my trike much lately because of health issues, I decided to make some changes and make the layout more practical. My health is getting a bit better and sleeping in a hammock is good for healing.

So I pulled out the bed and other stuff leaving bare floor. Pretty tricky to work on the van while I live in it.
To have a place to sleep, I hung my Hennessy Hammock diagonally across the back.

I am planning to make a DIY hammock to suit the same spot even I get my bed finished hopefully soon. HH is too flash for the van and I do not need the mosquito net indoors.

Welcome to the forum. Recumbents in the bike world are like hammocks in the camping world,,,very comfortable.

    Thanks for the welcomes

Van is coming along nicely as I have been able to work on it on most days.
I drew simple layout plans and trying to keep the hammock space free.
Sofa bed is working already as a single bed but I need to complete the kitchen cupboard so I get a support to make the bed wider. My future GF needs to be slim as it is only going to be 1200mm wide instead of being 1700 wide platform bed before.
Lot of work but I like designing things as I go. I am good with wood so all the furniture will be wood. To save on weight I might make hammocks for stuff storage instead of overhead lockers?

I live in my van full time- I live several days a week in an small RV so I can relate!! Really shows how much room we really need in live!

MB Sprinter- excellent choice! bet you love the diesel. Mine is also on a diesel platform but a Durmax

My health is getting a bit better and sleeping in a hammock is good for healing. ---fully agreed, nursing cracked ribs got me into full time hammockin!

Hennessy Hammock diagonally across the back--- Get a Warbonnet Traveler and be done with it. In fact, get the double bottom Traveler.
