    Ultralight Gear From The UK

Found this site this morning while searching for an ultralight/warm/water resistant (or waterproof) jacket.

They have a 13oz Down Quilt, and a few other interesting items.

Just wanted to share - and was also curious if anyone has used any of their products.

Just noticed they have a "design your own sleeping bag" service.

I wonder if they would make a top quilt?

I think they mention a footbox option on the 13oz quilt.

I've not used their gear personally, but they have a reputation for making excellent sleeping bags. Kinda like a UK version of Western Mountaineering.

They apparently make excellent quality gear.

Looking at the 13 oz quilt, it's pretty basic, and would have limited application. It would be easy to add a footbox option by sewing a drawer cord channel along the foot, and putting 3 press-studs up the lower edges over about 18"

Quilts are very easy to make (presuming that you have basic sewing skills). I just made a couple of quilts at 14.8oz, but used 5cm box walls, and 200g of 900 loft down to get an even 5-6cm loft. The only way I could have made them lighter was to use ?0.6oz cloth instead of 0.9oz, and that would have made little difference, as there's only 4m of fabric in a quilt.
