5 days would be awesome! I was hoping to do a 2-nighter solo on Memorial day weekend - hammock for that trip would be a bonus.

I decided to go with another full-fledged Expedition for my son (for only a few dollars more), that way I can also use it for a 2nd adult, for car camping or as a loaner.

    shipping time

I recently ordered two Claytor Jungle Hammocks and they arrived 14 days from the time my Pay Pal check cleared and I am in Michigan. Tom sent me two e-mails informing me of receipt. I was pleased.

Finally it comes to life! This AM I got an email cc'd from Tom to one Pui placing my order. Hopefully Pui is stateside and I get it in a few days. But if that is his/her actual name it sounds more pacific-rim. Hitting the trail in exactly 2 weeks, 1 day, with or without hammock.

MTA - it's coming from Thailand after all.

Tom's lead times can run a little long, urbansix. He was up front about that with me, but I was in no hurry.

If you want to get a Claytor Hammock shipped faster all you have to do is ask. They may charge a little bit extra for shipping and the hammock will arrive in about 5 days.

From mosquitohammocks website - "...Our normal shipping is registered airmail (15 days). If you need urgently, email us and we will give you a quote for faster shipping. Please include your phone number!!"

Pui is in Thailand. I got my hammock 16 days after I ordered it. Would not plan on any earlier than 15, because the fastest I ever heard till just on this thread was 14 days, and that is rare.

The package is kinda neat, a inside out dhl envelope, and I had airmail through like 2 asian countries. I like getting stuff direct from overseas. Pui writes like a machine though, I thought the label was machine printed but when I looked really close I saw where the marker bled ink.

Brown hornet's right about expedited shipping, dunno how much more.
