    WBBB suspension upgrade.

I got my WBBB about three years ago. I've used the suspension that came on it since then. I measured it at 12' of webbing, a carabiner, and a loop of amsteel with triangle ring buckles on each end. I started the mod by shortening the webbing to 5' keeping the sewn in loop. with the intention of feeding the end through the loop. Then using a toggle from whoopieslings.com to form a marlinspike hitch. Then attaching the end of the 6' whoopie sling from above to the knot. then Larksheading the other end to the hammock.
My dilema comes from trying to decide whether or not to use something like a dutch clip at the tree and a dutch biner or the like as a rain drip to connect the whoopie sling to the hammock with a loop of amsteel.
I was curious to what yall thought.

    P.S.
From the mods described above I have lost 5.6 oz

    Thanks
    Ryan........

i do as you described - a loop of amsteel to connect the whoopie at the hammock - dutch biner

and a dutch clip at the tree. easy to reposition the strap up n' down the tree.

I have a loop of amsteel from the my hammock connected to the whoopie sling with a Dutch biner. The sling goes around a Dutch buckle in the webbing which is secured around the tree with a Dutch clip....yeah I'm a bit if a Dutch junkie.
