So, I was hiking/hunting a lot with my children and spent a lot of time sleeping on the ground. Old guy, me, had to get up during the night to drain radiator. Cold feet in frozen boots; stumbled in dark looking for a patch of snow that wasn't already yellow. Then! My hammock and a laundry soap bottle saved me. Not only that, I found several other uses for my hammock during the day. I bought an extra. Hung weights on one side and floats on the other, then hung it vertically in water to net fish. I also hung it in a tree to use as a steadying holder for my rifle. Probably, my most saving experience occurred in Phoenix when I arrived on a late flight and found ALL hotel rooms sold out. So I rented a U-haul truck for about 20 and hung my hammock in the back after backing the truck into a thick bush so that anyone else who tried to crawl into my "room" would make a racket. All-in-all, I found 24 ways to use my hammock in the woods and put it all in a free book anybody can ask for. Send Email to [email][email protected]
