I'm a side sleeper as well at 6'1" and 250ish I'm very comfy in my ENO double nest. After reading mod info from the ENO section I found out how to hang it it just right.
Welcome from SC
Life looks better from a BIAS hammock.
i too am a side sleeper in the eno doublenest. these other guys rigs seem to not stretch a lot when they get on but the eno, when hung tight, stretches in the fabric. very comfy in any position. 6'2" 230 here. straps and rings are the way to go imo... just remember to do your locking knot with a bight!
I am a side sleep. I started in an eno because it was pretty cheap but then you factor in whoopie slings and tree straps then tarp and bug net it's a chunk of change. If you do go with eno DO NOT buy their slap straps. They stretch really bad. I have a Hennessy ultralite backpacker now. It was on sale so I got it cheap. It's got it all.

Where could I go to test drive hammocks??? Well I don't live that far away from SHUG!!! He has lots of hammocks!! Maybe he will invite me to the "Nut Hut" to try out hammocks! I guessing that the minute I get inside he won't be able to get me to leave and Meg will have to call the cops!!!
also check the 'trip planning ' thread- there may be a group gathering near you this fall or next spring; till then start checking your yard and neighborhood parks for optimal tree spacing-12-20 ft, and plan for some afternoon (park) or overnight testing (yard).
And welcome to the learning curve; it may not be steep, but it sure is fun!

Thanks for the tips. I'll probably try to find a local trip in the spring so I can actually look at some of the options.
If you are talking about Co. Springs, I know that there is a Gander Mountain if you wanted to check out the Eno Single and Double Nests. Plus if you don't like them Gander Mountain, in my experiences, has been great about taking items back.
If you do go the route and get the eno, try to say away from the slap straps.
