Hi all.
I'm looking for ideas for a solo backpacking trip in mid-March lasting 3 or 4 nights in the US. What I'm looking for is somewhere reasonably remote and don't mind some climbing but would rather not be doing it all day.
Most importantly after spending a Canadian winter (mostly indoors) I'll be looking to go somewhere reasonably warm (40F nights?) and not having to trek through deep snow. 6 or 7 hours per day on the trail is what I was thinking and have no problem with a trip that involves significant bushwhacking.
For some reason I've thought the the US South West might be a possibility since I've never been there but that's flexible.
Most importantly is being able to hang each night.
I'd appreciate whatever suggestions you are willing to give.
Thanks in advance,
Keg
