Seven Sins of Hammock Camping
1 Lust: I want what you have. Especially if it says "Dutch" on the label.
2 Gluttony: I eat everything I bring on the trail, and usually wish for more.
3 Greed: I have to have what I don't have even if I don't need it...
4 Sloth: Come on, it's a hammock....
5 Wrath: What you will feel if you trip my tarp lines!
6 Envy: I want what you have. Especially if it says "Dutch" on the label.
7 Pride: My rig is awesome...
Were all guilty in some way shape or form.
ALSO: repeat this before you sleep....
This is my hammock. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My hammock is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my hammock is useless. Without my hammock, I am useless. I must hang my hammock true. I must hang closer to 30* my neighbor, who is trying to be more comfortable than me. I must setup before he sets up. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my hammock and myself are defenders of my campsite, we are the masters of out comfort, we are the saviors of my slumber. So be it, until there are no more tents, but peace. Amen.
