Hanging out in the Rockies :)

First backpacking trip was a few years ago in my HH and I slept like a dream! Didnt have the money for a UQ so I fiddled with a CCF pad. Then I dabbled more in the UL world, got a sculpted tarp and "slept" on the ground for the past two years. When my wife and I moved from VA to CO I didn't think hanging would be possible but it looks like I was wrong, and boy am I glad about that Now trying to build up a proper hanging set up (mostly DIY due to newly wed funding) and find a backpacking community out in the west.

Just got a sewing machine so let the games begin! Looking forward to the community and knowledge on here.

You'll figure it out soon enough.
It sometimes snows in July and it isn't uncommon for a heatwave to sneak itself into December. No seasonal wardrobes around these parts, but it sure is a pretty place to be more often than not.

That would be "thread injector" but welCOme anyway! I have family in "The Springs" and, yes, the hanging opportunities are abundant. There are plenty of public lands within an hour of you, most with gorgeous trees.
