    Restoring WB Adjustable Suspension

So I gave whoopies a try and I'm already thinking of going back. I know, fickle. Anyway, if one wanted to do that, what is the knot for tying the cinch buckles back on the Blackbird? Or, is there a better way to do it; perhaps with a soft shackle or something removable? Thanks.

I mean the knot that makes the loop that you use for the lark's head. Dang! I just realised I didn't need to cut that loop off in the first place!

Brandon uses a triple fisherman's knot with some shrink wrap around the ends. If you can splice you can make a continuous loop. Don't forget to make the loop with the cinch buckles in them. After the you make a loop, as beep said, it's just a larks head around the gathered end of the hammock.

the buckles themselves need to be loose inside the amsteel loop, i attach the loop of amsteel to the hammock with a larkshead, but if you attach the new buckles to the amsteel with a larkshead it will cinch down on them and make them harder to adjust, tied or spliced directly into the loop is best.

if you just removed the amsteel loop and switched out with whoopies you should just be able to re attach

here's a tutorial about putting a suspension onto a BB (note the bb has an extra step other hammocks don't)

important to make sure you insert suspension through small black loop in the edge binding of the blackbird as shown in the pics. there is one loop at each end of the hammock
