sewn channel with loops - hanging an underquilt

I have been using a Warbonnet Traveler but I'm experimenting with a Dutch 11 foot hammock while waiting for my Chameleon (it will be passed on to my son to rescue him from his ENO which is hurting his back). Putting my underquilts (yeti and phoenix) on the Traveler is easy as the suspension creates a big ball of fabric to wrap it around. On the new hammock I'm running a continuous loop through the sewn channels but this does not create much of a ball of fabric from which the underquilt could hang. I was wondering what other people who use this suspension method (simply running a loop through the channel) do (use clips, etc.), or is it not a problem (the small wad of fabric is enough)? I plan on experimenting some this afternoon but others experiences and wisdom are always appreciated.

PS I tried every search method I could use and learned a ton about different ways to attach suspensions, but nothing specifically about this particular issue.

Did the UQ's not come with s-biners to clip onto the hammock suspension?

No, and I realize that this is one option, but if I have to go that route I will choose something very minimal and plastic as the stress on the shock cord is not substantial. (like the Tato quilt hangers on Dutchwaregear).

Not to be too much of a weight weenie but any reason that the .5s were not adequate? Perhaps they are so small that they are cumbersome?

I have lately just been using a short length of cord and tying a slip knot around the suspension line. Works great and gives you some better options for positioning, tension, and fitting different hammocks.

Ummm. In playing with the new hammock I have noticed that the Yeti set up for the traveler is not going to work with an 11 foot hammock. Some extra cord may be required anyway. The suspension on the phoenix seems to be OK with the added length.
