This sounds like my experiences! I've had a few sleepless nights when I brought a child (or two) in my hammock with me. They seem to sleep fine, but I'm miserable. Getting back into a hammock once you leave is a horrible experience. Either I'm relegated to a sliver of the hammock and quilt, or I end up waking up the kids when I readjust everything.

Wife and I nap in an ENO DN. We lay head to toe. Is that what most of you try?

How about hanging two hammocks from the same set of trees?

My wife and I shared a doublenest this summer for a night. It took some time to get comfortable but once we figured it out it worked out alright. I would prefer my own hammock but she wanted no part of sleeping by herself. Overall I would say it was more comfortable than sleeping on the ground.

How old were the kids? I was thinking about trying that out with my 5 year old.

Tow in a hammock is recommended and comfortable for couple only , if not just in emergency !!
PS: flexible branch to attach your hammock can add more fun if you are a couple ...

i have done it and it is not bad for napping/lounging but to sleep it is pretty much impossible. I am a big cuddler with my girl when in bed but in the hammock it is too much for me. sleep is not possible

Nope. Not interested in that experience. At home, in a queen sized mattress, I want no touching after we decide to go to sleep. I get too hot and clammy from the contact. Cannot imagine being able to keep apart in a hammock. Then the middle of the night forays into the bushes would wake the other completely. She would hate it is I used the pee bottle. Jealousy, fear of spillage, something, would make her elbow me and send me off to the brush.
