Show Us Your Gear Storage / Closet

Been thinking of setting something up for myself (I think Knotty's Gear Room thread really got me thinking about it!) for some time and I also came across this older Jason Klass post I've seen:

    http://www.geartalkwithjasonklass.co...ar-closet.html

Just wanted to see where and how you're storing all your wonderful gearhead supplies and toys in the house when not out on the trail! - Let's see all that beautiful down hanging!

Hopefully I get some ideas I can use (my wife thanks you!).

Mine is currently strewn across the dinning room table (the sewing area for the past 4 months), our downstairs entry, and upstairs entry. I want to organize and put things in one spot once I get some more hammock sewing done, but my husband won't share! A lot of you will gripe about your wives...but I am a wife. He has a crap load of hunting stuff in the basement, but no longer hunts. He has fishing stuff, but no longer fishes. He has a lot of those suit thingies that you wear to jet ski when it is cold, but he no longer does that either. We have an area of heavy duty camp stuff....the entire set up for like three big families, but we don't need any more. He has the entire garage, basement, shed, and another (supposed to have been temporary...3 years ago) tent sat up in the driveway that is full of generator crap! I can't get him to get rid of ANYTHING!! I want a gear closet!!! I want to take pictures and show it off!!

I suppose I'll be hanging all my hammocking gear off the Christmas trees if things don't change around here before the holidays. Guess I can take pictures of that! Its not really what I'm looking for though.

maybe suggest that some of the upstairs closets would be a good palace to put your 'sewing' supplies..all ladies have sewing supplies, right? alternately if he never uses it he probably won't notice if you box up the stuff in just one closet and move it to the basement... choose wisely!

Ummm...I'd post a picture, but my gear room is a disaster right now.
Maybe in a couple of days.

Same here. Fortunately that room is one my wife doesn't complain about (she doesn't ever the door either).

Mine is stored in a spare bedroom. I have a couple of dressers I keep the hammocks and hanging accessories in and the TQs. UQs, sleeping bags are stored in large laundy bags on top of a bed.

Got no gear closet. All my stuff is lovingly placed in large tupperware type containers in the attic. Takes up a lot of room because each bag is in a seoparate container to keep loft up, but I can't hang it so sitting is it. I do keep the covers off too so they can breathe. Everythings gotta breathe right!
