It is worth it to donate to HF, this is why.

Just wanted the attention of all those out there that have not seen the extra's you get with your donation.

I just renewed mine after a year. It would not be the same HF without the extra threads involved. Just saying, if you can't get enough of this forum, and you have not yet thrown in at least your $10 dollar donation, you are totally missing out. If you visit this site daily (like me). Throw in a donation to the forum, and you will have access to way more information. It is well worth it. HF rocks, and the lowest donation is nothing compared to the amount of extra info you get out of it about hanging, hiking, camping, and overall sleeping outdoors. You can tell you wife what Ben Franklin said. "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest."

    Yup, what he said ^^^^^^^^.

The other day I logged in and couldn't get to all of the usual spots. I hadn't been to my e-mail in a few days and missed the notification from the Mods reminding me about my year coming to an end. Needless to say, I fixed that issue right fast.

Thanks guys for all of the cool info that I have picked up over the past year.

Right. The notice is WAY too short. Go out of town for a couple of days, then mail in a check, and you find yourself cut out. No so good. Needs to be changed.

I've definitely gotten more than 10 dollars worth of advice out of my donating member status- merely in reviews of off topic items and advice asked has prevented me from buying gear I shouldn't have. I've also gotten well worth 10 dollars in laughs from off topic shenanigans. Finally, and of course, the friggin' SWHEET donating member logo on my avatar.

My donating status has MORE than paid for itself several times over.

Same here. I logged in and saw that the round table, and clothing section...etc.. were gone. My first thought was, wow, has it been a year. I quickly found the donate button at the top and fixed it in a flash. It was nice I didn't have to wait for anything to get approved, or no emails to hit a link. It just popped back like its supposed to be. HF is the site I visit most on my computer, and my iphone. I need to get me a few of those HF flags for my H's.

Any of the mods (angrysparrow, headchange4u, NCPatrick, slowhike, JustJeff, or myself). But since I saw this post before you PM'd me, I'll take a look.
