It's actually an issue with how the iPhone stores the photo files. You'll have to rotate them in photo editing software on a computer before posting to be sure they're oriented right.
I wondered about that since no amount of editing or orientation on the originals on the ipod seemed to have an effect. Thanks!
I've had this same issue. I've had luck by deleting the EXIF data in an editing app. I've heard of other people rotating it and saving it again.
