I need ripstop to make a hammock!

My walmart here does not carry ripstop and prices on the internet are way too high! anyone have any ripstop to make a hammock? i don't care about color but i do want alot of materiel!

You might want to keep checking the dollar rack each time you go. It comes and goes at mine, one week it's there, another it's gone. Also, if your area is swamped with WallyWorlds like mine, you can try different stores.

i asked the ladies in the fabric department at my walmart and they said they don't carry it as well as the other stores around us!

i need enough to make a double wide hammock-a two person one...

If you're just looking for regular ripstop and not sil-nylon, try the Jo-Ann Fabrics out at the mall. Look for the section labeled "sport nylon" and there might be some regular, uncoated 1.9 oz. ripstop.

Then again, there might not.

Heescha, be careful when you do make that double wide hammock. Just because the hammock is wide enough for two, doesn't necessarily mean that the fabric is strong enough to support two people. I wouldn't strut 1.9 ripstop to support much more than 250#, unless you're talking about a double-layer hammock. Then that's a whole different ball of wax.

I was at Wal Mart tonight...they've got two pcs of deep wine/burgandy 1.9 RS...one is 6 yards and one is a hair over 5...do you want me to get them or do you want one pc of material 10 yards long?
