Question Any Interest In: Thanksgiving Holiday Hang and Hike?

I was sitting here thinking that it might be nice to get out of the Washington D.C. area and maybe go for a hang over the Thanksgiving holiday. :

Being not sure what the weather will bring, I was thinking that maybe a short hike in to the woods; then a couple of day hikes with nightly hang relocation. Depending upon participation and desire, we might even be able to leave a care at one location....and get off the trail at another. Not looking to cover a lot of daily miles, but really would like to enjoy the leaf colors and take some pictures of the great outdoors.

Do this sound like something you might like to do as well?

Let me know your thoughts and ideas, Thanks!

I moved out of Milwaukee, WI several years ago and have a pretty good idea of the conditions you can expect on your trip. Stay warm, eat lots of food, and don't let any badgers find your food bag, LOL.

I go to school at UW-Milwaukee but get out to the woods when ever I can rain or snow. I heard we are supposed to get some snow this week possible 3 inches. The trouble with a hang over thanksgiving is it's gun deer season that week here.

There will also be a hangout in the Adirondacks that weekend, Fri-Sun. Right now it is just two of us. It is a 4 mile hike in, but we will be staying there for the two nights.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
