Eastern Great Lakes 2011 Year End Soiree

With three “Seasonal” Group Hangs and many more “one/two” nighters, 2011 has been a great year for Hammock Camping in Southern Ontario! Here are some of the adventures we’ve shared:

Before plunging into the holiday chaos known as “December”, we’re going out for one last night to raise our “Environmentally friendly” alcohol containers (not the fuel, the other one!) in a toast to 2011 and the trees that support our way of life. Please join us for the night or drop in for a visit, all are most welcome but please let us know if you're staying overnight ASAP!

Count me in for staying the night. I was hoping to get out once more this month to do some tweaking to my winter setup.

Let's hope that some of the local area hangers that haven't been out for a group hang can attend this one. It is always great to meet new people.

    Cheers

    Too far away for me

I did get a good hang at Bon Echo this fall though. Great walk-in / paddle-in site.

    I'm in.

I as well will be quilt building, perhaps with one or two members of the Odd Duck team.

Based on the awesome results of Ryvr's underquilt, I should be quite warm. I may or may not be pimping a lazy Ryvr bridge.

I now own my own thread injector, time to lean some new skillz.

No heated washrooms at Rattlesnake, your “Canvas Condo” might become prime real estate if it gets colder than expected! How did you answer the “Two People Sleeping In One Hammock” poll??

What’s your take on the Chrysalis, are you enjoying it?? Bon Echo is a great park; we’ll be returning at least once next year, which lake were you on?

    One word... BBQ

If any Hanger's south of the border are interested, Rattlesnake point is only 90 minutes from Buffalo. It'd be great to meet some of you.
BBQ for sure, the Tripod is all ready to go!!! I’m not big on “group meals” but I will be bring a plethora of Steak and Shrimp kabobs.
