    Woopie straps

I need some feedback on how to Chang my suspension system for my double nest hammock. I need to go lighter for long back packing trips. Interested in cutting my slap straps from Eno and attach Woopie straps. Is the the lightest avenue? Thanks in advance.

Whoopie slings are definatly easier. Also from what I understand about ENO slap strap they stretch real bad. Whoopies are a great, easy to make or easy to get from a few of the DIY guys here.

Love those whoopies! Light, easy, and adjustable. If the thought of making your own seems daunting or (if you have trouble trusting your DIY skills) dangerous, you can check out the Pay it Forward thread--there always seems to be a pair up for grabs. Grab a pair, and then offer up a return Pay it Forward... think of it as a gear swap
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

I use whoopie slings on my eno double nest. I made them myself without issue.

Also, I replaced the stock rope in the hammock channels with amsteel continuous loops, which are connected to descender rings. Some people connect their whoopies directly to the hammock channel.

You wouldn't be cutting your slap straps from your hammock. Those are your tree straps but if you have used them I'm sure you know how they strectch. The whoopie slings would replace the rope in the channels of your hammock. The fixed loop of the slings gets ran through the channel and larksheaded on. The other end is adjustable and attatches to your tree straps. Gettin rid of the stock rope and hooks will lighten it up fpr sure.
