How many here find the HH ridgeline useless?

I got a new HH and am tempted to cut the ridgeline. Seems (on my other HH) when I can adjust the curve of the hammock on my own, it sleeps better(according to the distance between trees). Only hesitation is the hammock would be less marketable if I someday decide to sell it.

You don't need to cut it. Cut off the zip ties at each end of the hammock and roll up the nylon sleeves. The ridgeline is looped through the hammock suspension on each side.

You can order an adjustable ridgeline from NK outdoors and just put it in. All you need is a couple of small zip ties to put your rain cuffs back on.

if you wish an simple hack job of an adjustable ridge line then you could do what I did - cut the line and tie a loop in each side of the cut then put an adjustable loop tied with a no stretch type cord (I used some Aircore Plus) between the two loops. The adjustable loop I use is easy to untie if I want to do without the RL at all - for example when I wish to sit on top of the HH without the RL being in the way.

Got a HH, and yes I modified the RL to be adjustable and removable....

But useless? No way... it keeps the bug net up and away, it holds my book, ridge line organizer and more if I want to.....

    +1.

Haven't removed or modified the RL on my Explorer...haven't seen a need to.

But I love the integrated bug netting, and use the ridgeline just as B2R noted above.
