Please keep the responses in this thread limited to how you store them in your hammock.

Discussion of 'why carry', carry laws, weight, calibers, etc aren't relevant to hammocks.

It depends on my area. If two-legged predators are really only my concern, I carry a little .380 in my pocket holster and it stays there. If four-legged critters could be an issue, or its my first time in strange woods, I carry my .40 in a Sahara Strider. It's low-profile and looks just like a front pack. This of course is predicated upon the fact that I'm in a state that I am legally allowed to CCW.

With respect, caliber IS relevant, as they directly correlate to weight and space (form factor)...AND was part of the OP's question.

That part of the OP's question is outside of the bounds of hammock-related discourse.

If I did carry, i would use 2QzQ peak bag. That is what it was actually designed for.

When/if I carry it is a Naa 22. Either a 1 and 1/8 barrel 22 lr or a Naa Pug in 22 magnum. When I'm in the hammock I keep it in the ridge line organizer.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Love my peak bag ... but I only keep soft stuff in it after I bonked myself in the head with my tactical light a year ago! Of course mostly that was me being a klutz!

Even laying in the hammock I have my firearm on me.. I usually have a snub nose 38 or a Glock 23 in my Thunderware. If I want to save weight I carry a 380. I have tried putting one in the WBBB shelf or pockets in other hammocks but find it harder to access quickly if laying down or asleep.
